About Us

The meteoric economic and industrial development enjoyed by the commercial capital of India, also brought in its wake an unprecedented growth in population. Recognizing the mushrooming problem and the physical limitations of a burgeoning city built on a narrow peninsular strip of land, the administrators decided to resolve the issue by developing a new, satellite city.

Accordingly, on 17th March 1970, the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd.(CIDCO) was incorporated under the Indian Companies Act (1956) with the precise objective of decongesting Mumbai. CIDCO had a clearly defined purpose – to channel Mumbai’s burgeoning population and commerce to a new physically, economically and commercially sustainable satellite city. <Readmore>

Mrs Shilpa Vilas Kenia received the *Samagra Shiksha Empowering India Awards 2020* at the hands of *Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of HRD* , at The Park, New Delhi. Today as the Hon. CEO of the school, and being with the school since inception, I feel the true mission of The Navi Mumbai Merchants Educational Foundation which is to give back the society at large what it has earned from it has been achieved and honoured. The award being certified by NABET – National Accreditation Board for Education and Training – Quality Council of India has pinned the school on the National Map for every citizen to know our existence and our mission for which we stand strong.
